Finding Happiness through Meditation

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” — Gandhi

The quest for happiness has always been an underlying factor for making major life decisions. Whether it’s a career move, large monetary investment, or difficult family decisions, the question “will I be happy?” has been tough to answer.

While it may seem like true happiness is near impossible to reach these days, implementing small techniques such as mindfulness can bring you one step closer to finding fulfilment in your daily life.

Respond, not React:

By implementing a daily practice of meditation, you begin to access parts of your brain that help you to respond to situations, rather than react irrationally. You will be able to empathize with the people around you and welcome new perspectives with curiosity.

Stronger Relationships:

Meditation gives you time each day to become more in-tune with your inner feelings, thoughts, and desires. Once you become more sure of yourself and your values, you begin to bring your best self into interactions and relationships. Practicing meditation also helps to garner patience, which improves communication between partners.

Feel Healthier:

Through implementing this daily habit, you can foster a positive outlook towards all aspects of your life. This new perspective ultimately fights stress, balances hormones, lowers blood pressure, and helps your body become more resilient towards illness.

Finding a Purpose:

Introducing time each day for daily reflection can help you to create direction and find clarity in making decisions. Jotting down a few thoughts after your meditation can also help to track your progress to meet goals.
